My name is Tomas Trnecka, I am passionate about DevOps (and dogs), with strong experience in full stack development.
I'am skilled Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation and scalable solutions. My expertise spans from OS management, storage architecture, web development, backend development, CI/CD practices to Kubernetes management, Cloud and taking a nap.
I enjoy solving complex technical challenges and creating efficient, maintainable solutions. My goal is to bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring smooth and reliable software delivery and as few 2:43AM wake-ups as possible.
And when I'm not deploying code, I'm deploying snacks from the fridge!

From young teenager to middle aged teenager
Graduated with red diploma with a focus on Watermarks in statical images. Developed strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and delivering top results while still being drunk from the previous night.
Started my professional journey supporting enterprise clients with Unix server management and troubleshooting (mostly cleaning full /var). Learned to work in fast-paced environments and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Transtioned to role with more responsibility, handling complex system architecture and performance optimization for enterprise clients. Gained expertise in storage solutions and high availability configurations while still managing to survive on instant noodles and coffee.
Promoted to lead storage delivery for enterprise client utility solutions, overseeing deployment and maintenance of complex storage solutions. Developed strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of storage technologies while starting to question my life choices and considering a career in dog grooming instead. Decide to reorient my career towards software development and automation instead.
Developed a Ruby on Rails web application for Storage and SAN reporting and management. The app was adopted by the enterprise client to manages Storage and SAN in big Private Cloud environments and received positive feedback for its user-friendly interface and powerful features. The app allowed users to easily monitor and manage their storage infrastructure, providing insights into performance, capacity, and health of their systems. It was a rewarding project that showcased my ability to create practical solutions for complex technical challenges while still being able to enjoy a good pizza on the side.
Promoted to Cloud Engineer, responsible for designing and implementing storage cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise clients. Additonally worked on Kubernertes based automation and deployment platform for VMware customers. Designed CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes for several storage related applications.
Community project to create card based game based on Blood Bowl 2 vide game. Created frontend management system to handle card management, deck building and tournament management integranted with Discord bot to allow users to open packs organize the tournaments.
Working on team to deliver reporting application to enterprise clients. Responsible for designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of the application infrastructure.
